Our Background
The Rwanda dental association was started in 2004 to the name of Technicien superieure en odonto.stomalogue(TSO) after graduation of 3 promotions in Rwanda University College of Medicine and Health Sciences former Kigali Health Institute. In 2010 the name TSO was changed into Rwanda Dental Association for opening the door to everyone who is in Dental career to be a member for oral health improvement in Rwanda and to bind on EAC harmonization. In 2012, Rwanda Dental association got its legal personality from Minister of justice and published in official gazette no 35 of 2012.

Our mission is To protect, advance rights and interests of dental professionals; and to promote science and professionalism of dentistry so as to improve oral health of the community in Rwanda

Our Vision is To be at the center of oral health in Rwanda.

Today the RDA, is an organization composed of more than 350 members who work in in all levels of health services from health to referral hospital. A large number also reside in private practices. These members include holders of Bachelors of Science degree in Dental Therapy with honors (A0) and Advanced Degree (A1)
